The skirmishing Frie Heeren were very useful

I first play with Gilles and his Persian Sassanid army . His cavalry being shower shooting it cannot evade my Carolingian DC so I plan to try to crush him but it will not be that easy

My charge went rather well. Gilles was unaware he could not skirmish if he had shower shooting and his shooting was also abysmal .

On the other flank my skirmishing Freie Heeren try to slow the very unfriendly nellies down

The edge of the world is quite near

But on the other flank my best mounted do seem unstoppable

My , literally, poor infantry is readying itself and will get unexpected help as my skirmishing guys will start to score and kill a nellie

So the game would end 15-4 in my favour . I was happy to have outscouted the persian army which allowed me to avoid the nellies otherwise the battle would have been very different .

Gilles's mistake with the shower shooting was also pivotal. I offered him to modify his list by he declined as "done is done"
