Now I was to meet Bruno and his very slippery and shooty Early Achaemenid Royal Persian army with Saka allies

I was pretty lucky, got terrain, a protected flank, out scouted lightly ( 33% as defender ) and the saka ally is unreliable.

Bruno takes the situation with a nice smile

Achilles is reliable

My left flank is held by infantry

Here we go. But I will already feel some fatigue ( Bruno also ) and lack concentration so do some very stupid mistakes

The immortals are in the terrain, the exceptional persian cavalry ( near the central white token ) is coming as does the satrapal SUP guard next to it

A larger view. My tribal infantry is going towards the ally, some of Nerstor's hoplites are going towards the mounted guard. They will charge hoping to push it back but it will fail as the guards will roll a 2, stopping short of their infantry back up but out of my hoplites's reach

Lack of colours I got a bit bloked

A turn later my mistake is clear. I deployed the hoplites and they lost a base or two. The exceptional persians will charge and break them on the charge with 2 nice skulls while the hoplites will miss .

Nearing the end of the game. The myrmidons caught in the flank survived . The persian infantry fighting for it's live and charged by the 2 chariotry will survive, the SUP persian TUG diminished to 3 bases will survive all shooting BUT the 6 bases average mounted persian TUG you can see on the upper right will die ' with their boots on ) by charging the wooden horse, getting a hit while coming in ( the horse is experienced bow ) and at impact I rolled 2 skulls, 2 wounds so it died on the spot ! KAB did not give me other units
So it ended 4-4
